How to react to a disgusting film by a good director? I am finding it hard to display. OUATIMD came to me as a huge letdown by Milan Luthria. A good story well started, looses its track on the way, bumps into some other course and finally crashes down.
It seemed this film is a FORCED sequel to the fabulous Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. The story line starts to deviate within the very first 30/40 minutes. From power and possession, the film runs down to a STUPID love story that has been poorly projected as well. At times you might question yourself WHY am I watching this film? as I did. As the later half begins, unlike others, I also expected some twists and turns in the story, but sadly the director has again disappointed all of us. There was a high scope making the story look interesting, rather than doing that Mr. Milan Luthria chose to confuse us, and finally crashes the film towards the END. He is the same director who started his career from 'Kachche Dhaage' ,gave us film super-hits like 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai' and blockbuster like 'Dirty Picture' .
Coming to the star cast - Akshay Kumar has been DISGUSTINGLY BAD, I don't know how to even explain his acting. The character he portrayed was depicted by Imran Hashmi in the first film, and I have to say this - Imran Hashmi was way too good than Akshay Kumar. I am still struggling to understand what exactly has happened to Akshay Kumar, he even forgot how to deliver dialogues, all his dialogues throughout the film has irritated like anything. Imran Khan on the other hand was impressively good, as expected, did equity to his character, thumbs up for him. Sonakshi Sinha was good as well. Mahesh Manjarekar, Pitobash, Chetan Hansraj, Sarfaraz Khan all were apt. Sonali Bendre in a surprising guest appearance was good as well (she should make a good & big comeback soon).
Pritam da wasn't mean with the music, all the tracks were very good and soothing.
Overall, Boring and Bellow Average film with bad direction,worst story line and Irritating performance by one of Hindi Cinema's top actor. No doubt people will go to watch SRK and Chennai Express will continue to rule merrily in the box office.
